Tam D. Le is a Senior Member of the Technical Staff in the Sandia National Laboratories International Nuclear Security Engineering (INSE) department. Tam currently leads serious gaming, augmented reality, and virtual training projects and is involved in modeling-simulation (mod-sim) and 3D Modeling efforts with both international and domestic partners. He also leads Sandia’s modeling and simulation engagements and the 3D Tabletop Tool and Alarm Control & Display (AC&D) virtual training simulator project.
In 2010, Tam led serious gaming visualization, analysis, simulation and training at the U.S. Departments of Energy and Defense (DOE, DOD), where he provided support for a defense simulator, and developed and improved 3D scanning registration, modeling, texturing, and visualization. Tam also worked on 3D modeling/game developments and applications programming for the U.S. Marine Corps and automated risk assessment projects.
Tam joined Sandia in 2006 as a web developer/programmer and database administrator. He earned a B.S. from Grantham University and an A.A. in Computer Animation.
