Manager, Global Security Analysis & Simulation

As manager of the cross-cutting Global Security Analysis & Simulation department, M. Jordan Parks leads a team of experts with diverse modeling and simulation, systems analysis, research and development, and studies capabilities that supports a wide variety of security-focused programs and projects for national and international sponsors.

With more than 10 years of experience in physical security and analysis, Jordan specializes in vulnerability analysis using modeling and simulation. He has applied the Design Evaluation Process Outline (DEPO) methodology, combat simulation tools, table-top exercises, and other types of performance testing to determine physical protection system effectiveness at high-consequence facilities, and has led analysis and evaluation activities to evaluate and improve nuclear security, radiological security, critical infrastructure, and nuclear power facilities. Jordan has also conducted numerous facility design security analyses of conceptual designs for nuclear facilities.

Jordan previously serves as the Team Lead for the Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Team, which provides expertise in 3D modelling, software development, and security vulnerability assessment. Jordan is an expert in a broad suite of modeling and simulation tools, including path analysis tools such as PathTrace©, SAVI, ASSESS, and ATLAS, and neutralization tools such as Scribe3D©, STAGE, and JCATS. He has led or conducted security training courses in Integrated Security Design, Force-on-Force, Table-Top Analysis, vulnerability analysis and evaluation, and advanced modeling and simulation, and has developed nuclear security tools in support of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) International Training Course (ITC).

A noted expert in the creation, development, and implementation of design basis threat (DBT), Jordan has worked on multiple DBT development teams in various applications, both domestic and international.

Jordan has an M.A. in Organizational Psychology and Evaluation from Claremont Graduate University and as well as B.A.s in Psychology and Sociology from the University of New Mexico.
